This is sort of the quiet colorado tribe, although, since you are from the east, everything will seem quiet out here.
There is much to do in Denver, but in my opinion, the greatness of living here resides west, in the and past the foothills.
Plenty of bars where you live, plenty of bars in Denver. Great art galleries where you live (near where you live), lesser ones here.
But if you drive, just 40 minutes to the west or keep going, there is biking, hiking, skiing, snow boarding, climbing, and lots more.
Oh, and remember to visit the People's Republic of Boulder since the rest of the state thinks we are wierd, that assuredly should make you want to visit.
